| 説明 | A broad arrow marked boundary stone on the edge of the Second World War training area at Woodbridge, Suffolk. The stone is cast from economy concrete, using local beach gravel as filler. The letters PC 45 face away from the training area, indicating to members of the public they are about to enter War Department land.The stones can be quite accurately dated to the early years of the Second World War due to the creation of the training area. As for the letters PC, I can speculate these possibly indicate Public Common. The broad arrow confirms this is a military stone and not a parish marker.I have not yet found an Ordnance Survey map with the boundary and stones marked. |
