| 説明 | UK Uncut organised a nationwide series of demonstrations in Saturday 18th Dec 2010 - part of an ongoing campaign called "Big Society Revenue and Customs". One target was businesses perceived to be avoiding paying their fair share of tax, including Arcadia Group Limited, which has a number of high street shop brands including BHS and Topshop.The Brighton event focussed on Churchill Square Shopping Centre.In an act of sublime cleverness (or supreme stupidity) the shopping centre's "snowy mountain top" banners seem to be adverts for Marboro Cigarettes. (I once shared a house with a learning disabled adult; while watching formula one racing he spotted - with "the innocent voice of babes" - that their "anonymous" red and white barcode car decals "look like rows of cigarettes".) The police presence was not "light"! |
