説明 | The 1982-94 E30 was the second generation of the 3 Series. Externally, the E30's appearance is very similar to twin headlight versions of its E21 predecessor. Major differences to the E21 include the interior and a revised suspension. In 1985, the 323i was updated to the 325i1987 update; redesigned rear lights and front bumper. This race car started as a bare shell shipped from the factory to Frank Gardner’s JPS racing team in Australia. It was built as a 325 model with a 250hp 2500cc six-cylinder. Tony Longhurst finished 5th in the up-to-2.5-litre class of the 1986 Australian Touring Car Championship. After its Aussie career was over, the 325 was purchased by Kiwi, Bill Bryce, the car failed to finish in the 1986 Pukekohe three-hour race sharing the drive with Denny Hulme. In the ’87 Wellington street race Paul Radisich and Patrick Finnauer finished 10th, then Paul and Denny finished 6th at Pukekohe. |
