| 説明 | Welshot Photography Academy Last Thursday evening I drove to Chester with a free ticket to an open evening, hosted at the Crowne Plaza, by the Welshot Photography Academy – a company providing small-group photography tuition. I'd seen Facebook adverts for the evening offering participants a chance to try their hands with off- camera lighting. That’s an area I know nothing about. My only experience of lighting has been the tiny flash systems built into compact cameras. I have no interest in studio lighting but I do think it would be helpful to be able to attach a speedlight to my Fuji and know how to use it effectively. The evening didn’t really answer my hopes – all the lighting equipment was constant lighting kit – ring flashes, umbrella reflectors etc, but I did get a chance to use a hot-shoe mounted trigger. I was shown the menu settings I needed to be able to preview through my EVF, and I did have an opportunity to take a couple of shots, using the trigger, of one of the two young women who were acting as models. Only two of the modelled shots in todays post were taken that way. The rest used the ambient light provided by the set up. I’m now convinced that flash would occasionally be useful to me if I can get my head round how to get the best out of a speedlite. |
