説明 | c/n 502First flying on 8th January 1964, J-2302 was one of only two Mirage IIIS to be built in France. Along with J-2301 it was initially used for introduction and test flights. After 47 flights it was shipped to Holloman AFB in New Mexico for live armament trials in connection with the Hughes TARAN system. It returned to Switzerland in August 1966 and remained with the Gruppe für Rüstungsdienste (GRD) as a trials airframe. In 1984 it became the test aircraft for the canards later fitted to all Swiss Mirages.Since March 2006 she has been on display at the premises of Studer Schleiftechnik AG, a supplier of diamond tools and abrasives. She still wears her GRD unit markings.Zetzwil, Switzerland10th May 2022 |
