説明 | The EKW C-35 was a 1930’s reconnaissance biplane designed to replace the Fokker C.Ve in Swiss Air Force service. The type was powered by an 860hp Hispano-Suiza HS-77, a V-12 piston engine which was actually an Hispano-Suiza 12Y built under license in Switzerland.C-171 was one of ninety of the type built. On 19th May 1940, during a flight from Buochs, it touched the surface of Lake Zugersee and crashed, killing the crew of two. The engine and propeller were recovered in March 2020 and are now on display.Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, Switzerland.10th May 2022 |
