| 説明 | Aah. Taken in the days when the NTS hadn't yet joined the neurotic 'photography not allowed' brigade.If anyone from the NTS wishes to justify their nonsensical position, do tell... And don't say 'conservation reasons'. How do photons landing on a camera sensor damage your properties? I could understand that you don't want hordes of tourists snapping away, but then why don't you just control it? You could issue licenses to those wishing to take photographs (hey I'd be willing to pay a small fee - you could make money out of this!), supplying them with a clearly identified lapel badge only if certain conditions have been agreed to (e.g. no flash, no tripods, no wandering off on guided tours, no commercial gain etc). You could also link it to the membership scheme to ensure even further control - make it a members only privilege which would both encourage those who are clearly interested in your properties to join, and in turn give you contact details via the central database. It could even be a condition that copies are given to the NTS, at the request of individual property managers.Don't you think that by allowing people to take photographs like this, who then put them online for all to see, could actually benefit the organisation by increasing awareness, interest and enjoyment of your properties? |
