| 説明 | I'm very fond of ivy covered trees. They are such a resource to bees in October when the ivy is in flower. I have an apiary about 1km from this tree.Always a bit sad to see any tree cut down but Interesting to see a cross-section of one and the arrangement of the 2 plants. The multiple ivy stems around the ash trunk. I think I can count 41 growth ring lines in the Ash treeThere are growth rings on the ivy too but harder to define/countquite a bit of felling of trees along the edges of the path at the Quoile Pondage Nature Reserve. The area is managed well so I am sure there were sound reasons for this work and longer term goals. Some of the Ash trees have noticeable Chalara but it is generally less marked here than most other places in my area and not all the trees that were felled are ash trees.
