説明 | Built in 1949-50, this Collegiate Gothic Revival-style building was designed by Barber and McMurry to replace Carrick Hall, which stood on the same site until it burned in 1942, and was named for Charles A. Perkins, chair of the Tickle College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee before it became its own college within the university. The building features a red brick exterior, limestone belt coursing, a side gable red shingle roof, aluminum windows, decorative limestone surrounds and gothic arched entry portals at the major entrances to the building, and sections of roof with crenellated parapets. The building houses part of the University of Tennessee’s Engineering Department. |
