| 説明 | The drive home brought, unusually, stops at two services. The first was early on as we returned to Gloucester services to browse the farm shop. It's owned and managed by the same group who runs Tebay services so it has some great, if eye wateringly expensive, produce on offer.It's a nice place as well, with wooden beams and dry stone walls all looking very natural. I suspect there's more than a little 'faux naturale' going on, as the dry stone wall looks like it may have a poured concrete inner liner, the wooden beams looks like heavily machined pressed laminates and the playground equipment is wrapped in netting and leaves but is still fibreglass resin. Nevertheless, the necessary sop to construction practicality doesn't spoil a nicely executed build with a hobbit like grassed roof.There's a nice path around the back which leads to a 'community growing space' and one of the things on there was this rather lovely bee sculpture, which is of a grand scale. A place worth visiting again, and for more than just a wee and five minutes respite from driving! |
