| 説明 | Northwest of El Castillo are the ruins of the Great Ball Court where 2 teams of seven players try to be the first to shoot a rubber through a stone hoop. The captain of the winning team was then decapitated to symbolize rebirth which perhaps have originated the legend of human sacrifices. The practice is not actually strange to the ancient Mayan's who have no concept of winning or losing (December 2010) |
