| 説明 | The St. Valentine's Day Massacre happened here on Feb. 14, 1929. This is where the S.M.C. Cartage Company warehouse stood until it was demolished in 1967. Al Capone's men, disguised as police, shot seven members of George "Bugs" Moran's gang (actually five plus two non-gangsters, a retired optometrist and a car mechanic.)Pictured here is the building to the south of where the warehouse stood. The tar line on the wall indicates where the warehouse's roof was before it was demolished.Located at 2122 N. Clark St. |
