説明 | Looking east from 12c nave to chancel through the 12c arch.In 1855 Rev. Robert William Bosanquet son of Charles Bosanquet 1650 flic.kr/p/Kb3Jx who had restored the dilapidated church in 1806, decided that further improvements should be carried out, emplying arcitect Anthony Salvin, who was living mainly at Alnwick to supervise the Duke of Northumberland's alterations at Alnwick Castle. This involved the building of the semi-circular apse at the east end of the chancel and the rebuilding of the vestryA 12c round headed Norman window survives to the right. The arcading to the left and the larger window on the right are of 1866 added by architect F. R.
