| 説明 | Onyx Cave is a small, wet cave located at the southwestern end of Huckleberry Knob just west of the town of Cave City in Barren County, Kentucky, USA. The cave consists of a vertical shaft/domepit complex with speleothem-covered walls. The walls are composed of Ste. Genevieve Limestone (upper Middle Mississippian). Abundant, iron oxide-stained "cave formations" (= travertine speleothem) are present, including knobstone, flowstone, and dripstone. |
