| 説明 | During the eruption of Mount St. Helens in 1980, a debris avalanche completely buried the upper North Fork Toutle River near the mountain. Hours after the eruption, a volcanic mudflow known as a lahar flowed through this area as well. This image shows the North Fork Toutle River flowing across these deposits. You can also see large pieces of the mountain that still remain in the drainage.Image by Daniel E.
