| 説明 | Ukrainian war features as European councillors meet in Tralee Russia’s invasion of Ukraine featured in a meeting of European political leaders which took place in Tralee. Delegates from the Council of Europe were in the Co Kerry town at the invitation of Kerry County Mayor, Cllr Jimmy Moloney, who heads the Irish delegation to the Strasbourg based forum. Twenty-seven local government elected members from Sweden, Germany, Belgium, NL, France, Austria, Georgia, Serbia, Armenia, the UK and, notably, Ukraine, were present at the meeting. In between meetings the delegates were shown the best of Kerry food, music and landscape. A visit to famed Banna Strand made a big impression on delegates from landlocked eastern European countries who had never before seen an open ocean. An emotional Ukrainian reunion took place at the beginning of the meeting as Ukrainian families housed by Kerry County Council had the opportunity to speak with Ukranian delegates at the meeting. They had an emotional reunion with Ukrainian elected member Svitlana Bohatyrchuk Kryvko who delivered a powerful speech to the Bureau regarding the situation in their home country.During his welcome address to the Congress, Cllr. Moloney offered his full support and solidarity with Ukraine and thanked the Ukrainian families present for sharing their experience. In his concluding remarks, Cllr.
