| 説明 | This gopher tunnel exit first appeared January 5 this year. I have probed it and set traps many times. The traps have been buried sometimes tripped and the tunnel has been plugged many times. It became active again Monday and I set a trap in it. The trap was tripped without catching anything. I probed and dug out the tunnel and reset the trap. This afternoon, Wednesday, I noticed the trap had been pushed (or pulled) out of the tunnel. There were the partial remains of a gopher in the jaws. I was curious so I checked a surveillance cam and discovered that a ground squirrel had scavenged the gopher carcass. |
