| 説明 | Trichomes are small, fine growths on plants. They have a diverse structure and function, the most common being hairy. They can cover any part of the plant, such as the stem, leaves, and flower sepals. Some are quite characteristic of the plant to which they belong, a characteristic that can be used for plant classification and also in forensic medicine. They are easily carried by wind, so they are often seen as contaminants on slides in pathology laboratories. Here you can see a star-shaped one on a skin biopsy slide.Below right you can see and example of trichomes macroscopically on a Rosmarinum officinalis.Microscopic images contributed by Dr. Diego Morales - @DiegoMoralesNGross example of trichomes: Contributed by Dr. Pascual Meseguer - @Histopatolomon |
