| 説明 | Edition 2022 - Bright BrusselsFloraison - PITAYAHundreds of poppies appear to blow away in the wind.By day, the red flowers radically change the perception of the space, but it is after dark that they reveal themselves to the public, making the space glow a warm red. The multitude of illuminated flowers create an extraordinary and soothing atmosphere. Black light projectors reveal at night the green stems of each flower to add to the feeling of suspended flowers, thereby enhancing the installation's magical appearance. PITAYA is a creative studio founded by David Lesort and Arnaud Giroud. Having undertaken technical training, in metalworking and woodworking respectively, the pair met during their industrial design studies. They quickly abandoned their initial training for a more artistic and open vision, focused on lighting and luminaires. In 2006, the Lyon studio participated in its first lighting event and created 30 chandeliers that were installed above the streets during the Lyon Festival of Lights. Since then, PITAYA has created new lighting projects each year and displays them at urban festivals. The festival of lights in BrusselsBright Brussels, the festival of lights returns to brighten up the capital this winter!Four evenings and three routes will take you on a journey to discover of some twenty immersive and poetic artistic works. From 10 to 13 February, the Royal Quarter, the European Quarter and the Flagey neighborhood will be illuminated by enchanting light installations. The festival will also feature a fringe programme, including evening events in the museums.It's become a tradition for the lights of Bright Brussels to warm us up in the dead of winter and, best of all, it's completely free!
