| 説明 | Edition 2022 - Bright BrusselsDrawn in Light - Ralf WesterhofA drawing reflects light in the dead of night.Drawn in Light is a large installation made of steel. Metal wire is hand-bent into various shapes, thereby creating a delicate drawing. The lines of this drawing reflect light and illuminate the sky. They depict a house, a nearby tree and a passing cyclist. The installation, lit on four sides by LED lights, turns in a continuously moving and ever-changing orbit.Ralf Westerhof started his creative career as a theatre scenographer and a visual artist specialising in kinetic sculpture. The drawings, inspired by Egon Schiele, are made of hand-bent wires that retain their shape due to a number of vertical lines that hang from a mobile. In 2014, he took part in the Amsterdam Light Festival. This performance enabled him to subsequently realise a series of new productions and exhibitions all over Europe, as well as in Asia and South America.Copyright : Light Art Collection Ltd. From 10 to 13 February, the Royal Quarter, the European Quarter and the Flagey neighborhood will be illuminated by enchanting light installations. The festival will also feature a fringe programme, including evening events in the museums.It's become a tradition for the lights of Bright Brussels to warm us up in the dead of winter and, best of all, it's completely free!
