| 説明 | College of DuPage President Dr. Brian Caputo attends the Addison Fire Protection District #1 Explorer Post #343 ice rescue training, held at WoodDale Grove Forest Preserve. The drill simulates a victim falling through the ice and needing rescue. The Explorers don the ice rescue suit and enter the water to make the rescue, all while being supervised and coached by the AFPD firefighter advisers. The Explorer program consists of young men and woman from the age of 14 to 21 who are interested in the fire service. Some scouts are also enrolled at Technology Center of DuPage in a dual credit fire science/EMT course with COD. Explorer Post #343 is affiliated with Three Fires Council, Boy Scouts of America, and Caputo is a member of the Council's executive board. |
