| 説明 | The so called Founder Aisle which houses the only Flaybrick grave located in a pathway, is the final resting place of many of Birkenhead’s most important people. The imposing memorial to the Jackson family is unmissable and contains the remains of a man once described as ‘the richest commoner in the country’. Within this area are also the graves of John Williamson, in whose memory the town’s art gallery was built, Henry Bloor, who turned on the very first reservoir water supply to the town, Lewis Hornblower, the architect who designed Birkenhead Park’s grand entrance, Frank Hulme who played rugby for Birkenhead Park and the British Lions and also most of the third generation of the Lair family who revolutionised shipbuilding and engineering not just locally but around the world.ref: 0797 - 7th Feb 2022kit used: Sony RX 100 III |
