| 説明 | The original photograph of this edited and colourised picture was taken in the early 1900s and is called "A view in Pinnaroo, South Australia...". The unedited black and white picture can be accessed via the link below: www.flickr.com/.../in/album-72157679978588610/Pinnaroo is a delightful country town located in the Murray Mallee region of South Australia, approximately 243 km east of Adelaide and very close to the border of Victoria. The Southern Mallee District Council provides the following information on the town, "Pinnaroo township is located on the site of one of the original pastoral leases. It began to develop in earnest in the 1900s, as the coming of the railway attracted more and more settlers to the area. The first shop was opened in 1905, and the first bank, hotel and school were all established in the following year." Are you interested in finding out more historical information about Pinnaroo?
