| 説明 | The New York National Guard (NYNG) hosted experts from the Brazilian Army specializing in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) from October 18 to 20 as part of the State Partnership Program (SPP). Colonel Anderson and Colonel Lott of the Brazilian Army visited New York City and Camp Smith to exchange best practices and share the capabilities of their military CBRNE forces. They learned about the NYNG’s 24th Civil Support Team’s (CST), the 222nd Chemical Company, and the interagency cooperation between military forces and local partners such as the Fire Department of New York (FDNY). The delegation spent time aboard “Fireboat 343” a CRBNE enabled response vessel named after the FDNY’s fallen on 9/11. The Brazilian officers ended their visit at Randall’s Island FDNY Training Academy learning about the FDNY’s CRBNE capabilities.
