| 説明 | This Mid Century Modern-style visitor center was constructed between 1963 and 1966 to replace a small stone comfort station (built in 1933), and was designed by Cecil Doty and Burt L. Dewalt for the Mission 66 Initiative, meant to modernize the facilities at US National Parks. Located at the crest of the Going-to-the-Sun Road at Logan Pass, the visitor center features a roofline that follows the hillside underneath, with a long covered outdoor stairway connecting the exhibit hall and gift shop at the top with a restroom and service building below. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008, owing to the significance of its design. |
