説明 | This tower, known to the FCC as ASR (Antenna Structure Registration) 1026129, was built in 1985 and hosts four ranks of cells below the FM antennas of two FM translators. The two-bay antenna on the left (north) side of the tower's top is W254DP, transmitting the FM signals of WGCL/1370am on 98.7 and W241CD, which translates WTTS/92.3 HD2, a standalone station called The Quarry. Both have an ERP (effective radiated power) of 250 watts from 299 feet above ground level. The one-bay with a radome is WCYI-LP/104.1, and it puts out an ERP of 32 watts. The antenna is a Shively 6812B, which has circular polarization, although the license only shows heights in the horizontal plane: 335 feet HAAT (height average terrain), and 249 feet above the ground.Since the translators only listed heights above ground, and are 50 feet higher than WCYI, their actual HAAT is 385 feet. Both translators are owned by Sarkes Tarzian, the namesake of a legendary local figure who also happened to be a pioneering inventor, engineer and broadcaster. His original factory still stands nearby, and the tower stands beside the street called Tarzian Way. WCYI-LP is owned by nearby St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. |
