The demonstration was to show the students the importance of washing your hands thoroughly to get rid of bacteria. Benton was volunteering with the United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety Inspection Service, Food Safety Discovery Zone. The USDA Food Safety Inspection Service, Food Safety Discovery Zone visited Kendall Demonstration Elementary School associated with Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, October 27, 2010.The Food Safety Discovery Zone is a mobile education center for the FSIS Food Safety Education Service that travels to schools and civic functions teaching safe food handling. |
