説明 | Photograph of a U.S. Army officer named George and a German woman named Ditha, posing outside on a sidewalk along a brick wall somewhere n Berlin, Germany, during World War II. The two knew or were friends with Army Lt. Robert J. Pleasants of Cary, NC, who was serving as an assistant to the Food and Agricultural Officer with the U.S. Office of Military Government’s Kassel Governmental District’s Food and Agricultural Section. This photograph was sent to Pleasants in January 1946. Caption on back of photograph reads: “To Bob—Compliments of Ditha and George, Berlin, January 1946.
