| 説明 | Today, Monday October 25th, the 31st Dublin Marathon took place. Sponsored by Lifestyle Sports and Adidas this year’s event featured more than 13,000 runners, joggers and walkers.Kenya's Moses Kibet was the overall winner with a new record time of 2:08.56.In second place was Ethiopian Kedir Fikadu, while another Kenyan, Mourice Musyoki, came third.Russian Tatian Aryasova won the women's race in 2:26.12, breaking the previous record of 2:27.22.Joe McAllister was the first Irish runner home in 2:21.05 and Barbara Sanchez crossed the finishing line in 2:39.39 at the head of the Irish women's elite field.The first of the wheelchair athletes home was Co Armagh man Paul Hannon in a time of 2:20.38.The Dublin Marathon is a marathon run every year in Dublin, Ireland, normally on the last Monday in October, which is a public holiday here in Ireland. Held each year since 1980, in 2007 there were about 11,000 race participants, half of whom were from overseas and this year there was a record entry of more than 13,000.The course is generally reasonably flat. It starts at Fitzwilliam Square in the city center and concludes at Merrion Square. Exact routing varies, although in recent years the race has proceeded in an anti-clockwise direction around the city, including passing through the Phoenix Park. |
