説明 | Cotoneaster 'Hessei' 4/2021 Cotoneaster- (Germany 1930s) Hess Cotoneaster, Mature size: 2x5’, reddish-pink, USDA Hardiness Zone 4, Michigan Bloom Month 5-, In Garden Bed G1 for 8.8 YEARS (Lowes,). Planted in 2012.UI Plants: A cultivar with uncertain hybrid parentage, this short, mounded groundcover shows improved resistance to fireblight and spider mites compared to most other popular cotoneaster groundcovers. It was originally developed in Germany by Hesse around 1930, and brought to the Midwest by the Morton Arboretum around 1950.AHS lists this plant as a species, it is unclear as to whether the origin of the plant has been conclusively determined. The plant was originally developed by Hesse Nursery of Weener, Germany in the early 1930s. Some authorities report that it is a hybrid cross between C. horizontalis and C. adpressus var. praecox.
