| 説明 | Rockwood ReservationAndy and I went looking for a moth called a Grapevine Epimenis at Rockwood Reservation. We did not find any, but we saw our first PAW PAW BLOOMS! I know, you'd think I'd have seen one by now, but I had never paid attention, I guess. The Paw Paw blooms led Andy and I down the path of noticing more and more going on in the understory of the forest. Two weeks ago we'd noticed our first Dutchman's Breeches, which might have been the sly plant that first gave us a taste of the seduction of the woodland plants, but yesterday turned into a full blown affair. Wow. We fell in love all kinds of small plants. After arriving back home, I was excited to learn what each was - I think I found something on each. What joy, paying attention to Flora's domain. |
