| 説明 | This is a bench in the quite well preserved remains of a Roman bath in Perge, Turkey. Originally, all the surfaces were lined with marble slabs. I chose to use color here to show the nice colors of the marble present on and around this bench. Over couple of thousand years various raiders have pried off the panels and also taken the mosaic floors for sale, to be put in museums perhaps, or to just repurpose. I cannot be sure that all of the panels here are original to this location but I think the beautiful piece on the end is. HBM |
