| 説明 | My husband and I have three boys and three of us have high risk health conditions. We did everything right to stay safe and healthy but in January of this year, we all got sick. My husband and I tested positive for COVID-19 but all three of my kids tested negative, despite us all being sick with the same symptoms. My husband was chosen to receive an experimental antibody infusion treatment and he was symptom free within one day of receiving it. The boys all recovered relatively quickly, but as of today I am still fighting symptoms and complications. This photo was taken while I was trying to cool my body off in the bathtub during an endless and unrelenting cycle of scorching hot fevers that would change over to freezing chills. Cool water first to bring down my temperature then switching to warm water to combat the chills. Over and over. I was so physically and emotionally exhausted that I simply could not get out of the tub. Sitting in the empty bath after a futile attempt to regulate my body temperature, soothe my aching bones, ease my sore muscles and let the steam clear out my lungs to breathe, I felt more helpless, hopeless and terrified than I ever have in my life. |
