| 説明 | Yus! I finally got my hands on a mostly perfect Sunny Madison! I'm so thrilled, relieved and exhausted! For some reason, I've had incredibly bad luck with Sunny. I failed to find a "perfect" one for my in-box collection, despite visiting at least fifteen different stores in Auckland. I've also spent hundreds (probably thousands 😅) online on eBay and Amazon, in an attempt to find a good one. And what a complete nightmare it's been! If I found one with a good face, she'd have wonky eyes, uneven buns or messy side curls and vice versa.This Sunny is a first wave release Sunny. The defect rates for those weren't so bad. My first few from Amazon were all first wave Sunnys (I regret not buying more T____T). Sadly, New Zealand imported all the re-release dolls - and those Sunnys were horrid. Virtually every doll had messed up misprinted lips, chipped eyeshadow, random face stains, wonky fringe, uneven thinly rooted hair... the list is as equally depressing as it is endless.The same goes for the re-release Poppys, so I didn't purchase any locally. Ruby wasn't too bad, but I prefer the fiercer more "mature" look of the first wave Rubys. The re-release Violet and Skyler are, in general, better in terms of defect rates; but first wave Violets are prettier with a more doe-eyed look.Aaaanyway, this is just an appreciation post for my "perfect" Sunny! Even though I paid 3x the market price for her on Ebay, and she took a month to arrive - I'm so grateful and ecstatic to add her to my Rainbow High collection. |
