説明 | One step better than peering inside the black box — reviving the black box, an exquisite skill of a techno-archaeologist crew I have befriended. They have mad skillz & I have artifacts that want to feel the love. Here is an awesome Valentine’s video of my electro-mechanical clock from the earliest Soyuz spacecraft, circa 1967, restored to run off a cesium source with atomic precision! The clock module provides current Moscow time, preset announcement time, and a stopwatch. The stopwatch is used for the propulsion system engine burn timing, to make sure it burns for the calculated time to reach the mission trajectory. This clock module also flew in the Soviet Buran space shuttle and Almaz military space station. Part of the FV Space Collection. And now, part 2 of the video, with incredible analysis. |
