Tenney (right) looking on, while at the dinner table in the kitchen of Delbert L. and Leona Tenney’s house in the Midway Park neighborhood in Jacksonville, NC. The Tenneys had invited their friends the Browns over to help them celebrated their first Thanksgiving Day dinner on November 22, 1945, together as a married, which was also the same day as Marge’s birthday. Marge was helping to prepare the Thanksgiving Day dinner meal during World War II. Delbert Tenney was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, at the time with Jim Brown.
