| 説明 | Some further shots taken on 7th April 2012 at the Chicago Museum of Science & Industry's Transportation Gallery. These are in addition to shots in the same Album posted several years ago.The diesel-electric Burlington Zephyr was the fastest American train at the time and their first to hit 100 mph on 26th May 1934 - of course we British had smashed that barrier back in 1904 when "City of Truro" set a new record for steam traction between London & Plymouth, achieving the magic 100 mph descending Wellington Bank in Somerset. |
