説明 | A Shot from the last birding season (early 2020) - great old days. One of those days when the falcon killed a Parrot and consumed it in front of us. The bird become comfortable with people and would hunt and chase birds around us. This one is a female if I remember right judging by its large size (females are around 30% larger than males in falcons). The lake bed was totally dry which attracted several raptors like Falcons, both Common and Lesser Kestrel, several eagles like Booted, Bonelli's, Short Toed and occasionally Spotted Eagles. Come October this year, the whole state along with neighboring states had witnessed very excessive rainfall and hence all the water bodies are full. Even the forests are full of water - all of this thus far has resulted in a very poor birding season. But the rainfall has been great for crops and people though. Thanks in advance for your views and feedback. Much appreciated. |
