説明 | c/n 121-43036Built as an AT-6F with the US military serial 44-82314. Transferred to the US Navy as an SNJ-6 with the Bureau No 112178. Sold off in 1963 and civil registered as N9820C. Became part of the Confederate Air Force (now the Commemorative Air Force) in 1986. Rebuild in 2007/2008 and modified to more resemble an A6M Zero to fly with the ‘Tora Tora Tora’ Pearl Harbour re-enactment group. She has more recently been repainted in US colours to act as a ‘defender’ during displays and represent one of the five Curtiss P-36 Hawks which managed to get airborne during the 1941 attack. She is seen during an unplanned flyby to confirm a sticking tailwheel. She landed safely, on all three, a short time later.2019 Wings over Houston Airshow.Ellington Airport, Houston, Texas.20th October 2019 |
