| 説明 | Between 1912 and 1926, St. Kitts built a railway to transport sugar cane from the sugar plantations to the sugar factory in the capital city of Basseterre.St. Kitts has converted the 18-mile railway (by adding a 12-mile bus tour) to a 3-hour loop around the island.Of my many cruise excursions, this is one of my top two or three!Enjoying the view from the upper open-air compartment. There was a sound system so we had a running commentary of the surroundings.Also, there was a hostess for each car offering us free drinks (rum punch!) and snacks throughout the trip. |
