説明 | Garnet in rhyolite from the Tertiary of Nevada, USA. (~5.4 centimeters across at its widest)Nevada's Garnet Hill is a famous collecting site with occasional almandine garnets in cavities in rhyolite. The cavities (lithophysae) are normally lined with finely-crystalline quartz.
