| 説明 | c/n 580-6820Built 1951 and supplied to the French Air Force as part of the American Mutual Assistance Program.She was allocated US military serial 51-9036 for delivery, but served in France as ‘19036’.After retirement she returned to US military ownership and was flown to RAF Sculthorpe in May 1978. She was then permanently loaned to the museum and moved there by road during 1979.She is currently painted in the markings of the 48th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, based at Langley AFB in Virginia, but it appears that work is just beginning on another repaint so she could soon be in another scheme.Newark Air MuseumWinthorpe, Nottinghamshire, UK7th August 2020 |
