The mound is what was once the Brouillion Bastion. Its seaward walls are now half gone due to erosion.The piles of brick and stones are the excavated remains of two powder magazines, a French one of stone made in 1757 and a New England one made of brick in 1746. Both of these magazines are inside the walls of the Brouillan Baston. |
