| 説明 | I later dared to return to Soi Bangla alone at night after being reassured that this is not Bangkok and it is fairly safe. This was to be my last bit foreign trip post retirement- I had just two weeks to return to India for good after returning to Dubai post my four days in Phuket. And apprehensive though as I was about being hassled on Phuket's fleshpot street of Soi Bangla, I really didn't want to miss out and have any regrets. Of course I do not indulge in the nightlife- I am too old for that- but I am talking in terms of night photography only. Safely leaving my large dSLR back at the hotel and armed with only my iPhone, I returned to Soi Bangla later at night. The vibe, colour and atmosphere was totally different by night. On my way to Soi Bangla,I passed this rather colourful restaurant at the end of the street where my hotel was located. Yes, this is only a restaurant, not a bar. I did not visit it as I found a nice Indian restaurant just off Soi Bangla which served a beautiful okra curry which was to die for! (Phuket, Thailand, Oct/ Nov. 2019) |
