I have not shared my ideas with many (partly because they have been and still are so fragmented), but my intent now is that people I am in correspondence with re this project can come here to guide me, though I also hope that Flickrers who are interested in such things might become new readers and correspondents as well.The title for my book lies hidden in this excerpt from Wallace Stevens's poem An Ordinary Evening in New Haven, New Haven being – coincidentally and perhaps poignantly – the place where I have lived for the last 27 years.Though Wallace Stevens has not left my side since I discovered him in a college bookstore in Alabama, fifty years ago. |
