| 説明 | A selfie in the courtyard of one of the earliest Buddhist monasteries in this part of the world- the courtyard is really tiny. This is in the Bhaktapur Durbar Square in Bhaktapur, Nepal. The facility was once used by Tibetan Buddhists escaping China. Today the monastery part is defunct, the place is run by a delightful but wizened old couple and the gods are a heady mix of Buddhism and Hinduism. The locals seem to have also stuck a Hindu temple into one of the chambers of this ancient monastery. That is the one behind the closed door, seen partly behind me, which is accessed by those two steps flanked by the two gaurdian lions. Near the entrance was a Buddhist image, but I could photograph it, either due to reflections on the glass in front of it- or if the old lady in charge told me not to take pictures- I cannot recall exactly.
