| 説明 | Terrace farming on the way from Chitwan to Pokhara via Kathmandu. Terrace farming is a common sight in Nepal. But what makes this different from the other countries like Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and others is that these are not rice farms, but rather vegetables are grown here. Of course, though rice is grown in parts of Nepal as well, their agriculture mainly consists of corn plantations, cabbage, wheat, spinach and other forms of leafy vegetables, which largely cater to the food requirement in remote areas of Nepal.
