| 説明 | Right next to that relative insignificant temple just outside the Bhaktapur Durbar Square which we saw earlier, (see previous picture) is this verandah of some sort. It was unmarked, and the guide said ti's just an old building, so don't worry too much about it. Much of the Bhaktapur Durbar Square suffered extensive damage in the devastating 2015 earthquake, in fact some of the ancient temples were restored, or are in the process of being rebuilt. This unidentified building looks rather fresh and renovated, however the grass and bush growing on it's tiled roof is a dead giveaway of it's age. It looks fresh probably because it is relatively unused as it is not in the Durbar Square proper, which is still a good 5 min walk away. (Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Nepal, Oct/ Nov 2019) |
