説明 | You saw in the previous picture some Hindu religious bas reliefs outside the Bhairabnath Temple at Taumadhi Square in the Bhaktapur Durbar Square in Bhaktapur, Nepal. So this then is a far view of the Buairabnath temple. This shrine is located near the Nyatapola Temple (see previous pictures earlier in this album) and is much smaller in size than Nyatapola. Walking around this Bhairabnath Temple, one can often a set of wooden wheels and planks lying against a nearby wall- I saw these but didn't photograph them. These wheels and planks are actually part of a wooden chariot which is assembled to bring the head of Bhairav (the presiding deity of this temple) around during the Hindu Bisket Jatra festival in April. The Bhairabnath temple was closed at the time of my visit- I probably wouldn't have gone in anyway as I am not particularly religious, and at any rate the photography restrictions inside the temple are enough to put me off anyway.
