説明 | Buick was General Motors' upmarket car, second only to Cadillac. For 1924, Buicks were bigger on the outside, roomier inside and had stronger frames and axles and 4 wheel brakes. Styling, too, was updated, with the radiator shell given a contoured upper lip and fenders more highly crowned. The Buick Six used the OHV 242 cu in 6 cylinder 242 cu in engine in their high-end cars, and the 170 cu in Buick Four for smaller, less-expensive cars.Available in 114 inch wheelbase Standard; in Roadster, Coupe, Sedan and Touring Car And 128 inch wheelbase Master; in Sport Roadster, Coupe, Sedan, Touring Car, Brougham Sedan, Town Car and LimousineAfter 1924, they dropped the 4 cylinder engine and designed a small 191 cu in six, which they called the Buick Standard Six, to replace that end of the market. They coined the name ‘Master Six’ for the high-end cars, now powered by the 255 cu in Engine; 170 cu in 4 cyl or 242 cu in 6 cyl |
